For game collectors

A video game collection tracker that actually fits how you collect

Most "game collection" spreadsheets and apps treat every copy the same. Shelf Life doesn't: a loose cart, a complete-in-box copy, and a digital code aren't the same entry, and shouldn't price the same either.

Completeness-aware pricing

Loose (cart/disc only), CIB (complete in box), or box only — a real field, not a note. The eBay price check reads it and searches with the right term included, since a loose cart and a CIB copy of the same game can be several times apart in value.

Platform, region, and play status

Every copy gets its own platform, NTSC-U/C / NTSC-J / PAL / Region-Free tag, and play status (backlog, playing, completed, abandoned) — filter your whole shelf by any of them from the dashboard.

Real trophies, not just checkmarks

A PlayStation Trophies-style system awards bronze-to-platinum badges for real milestones (first item, 100 owned, 25 completed, and more), shown on your public profile. Your actual in-game achievement/trophy percentage has its own separate field too.

Search to auto-fill, or scan the barcode

Type a title and Search pulls cover art, genre, and platforms from IGDB. Or scan the box's barcode with your phone camera — works on iOS and Android, no app install needed.

Bulk-import an existing spreadsheet

Already tracking your collection in a spreadsheet? Import CSV brings it all in at once — download the template, drop your data into the matching columns, done.

A shelf worth sharing

A public profile with your full collection, a leaderboard against other collectors' shelves, and follow/comment on collections you're into — or keep the whole thing private, it's your call.

Frequently asked

Is Shelf Life actually free?

Yes — creating an account and tracking your collection costs nothing. There are no paywalled features for tracking your games.

Does it track digital copies too, or just physical?

Both — mark any item Physical or Digital. Digital copies just skip the eBay resale-value check, since there's no resale market for a digital code.

Can I see what a loose copy is worth versus a complete-in-box copy?

Yes — Completeness is its own field, and the "Check eBay price" button searches current listings using it, so a loose cart and a CIB copy of the same game show different current asking prices.

Can I import my existing collection from a spreadsheet?

Yes — the Import CSV tool on your dashboard bulk-adds items from a spreadsheet, with a downloadable template and a preview before anything actually imports.
