Clicking through to an author's or illustrator's actual page on "Browse Books by Author" or the new trading-card Creator pages was showing "not found" for almost any two-word name. Both are fixed — try a real author or illustrator now.

Searching Magic: The Gathering illustrators (the new Creator pages below) and "See master set" on a Magic card were both silently coming up empty due to a bug in how the site talked to its card database. Both are fixed and working now.

A new "Browse trading cards by illustrator" page (linked in the footer) lets you search a Magic: The Gathering or Pokémon TCG artist by name and see everything on file for them — greyed out except what you already own, same as the other Creator pages for comics, books, and games.

LEGO sets now have a "Built" checkbox — mark a set as assembled and it shows a badge on the card and in the detail view, separate from "100% Complete" (which is about having every piece/box/manual, not whether you've actually put it together).

Search now fills in Minifigures included automatically for LEGO sets, pulled from Rebrickable's real per-set data. And "See master set" on a LEGO set now shows every real set Rebrickable has for that Theme, greyed out except what you already own — not just sets other Shelf Life collectors have logged.

LEGO Set is a new collectible type — Theme, Set number, Minifigures included, Exclusive to, and Grading, plus a "Search" button that fills in the theme and set number for you from a real live set database.

Cover art and avatars across the site were loading at full original size no matter how small they actually showed on screen. They're now resized and lazy-loaded automatically, so pages with a lot of covers — your collection grid, a profile mosaic, search results, the leaderboard — should feel snappier, especially on mobile.

If you ever change your currency in Settings, an old purchase price, asking price, or wishlist price alert won't silently relabel itself under the new symbol anymore — it'll show which currency it was actually entered in instead.

The Cover image field used to only accept a pasted link. Now there's a "take/upload a photo instead" option right below it — handy for anything without decent cover art findable online, like an obscure VHS tape or a Funko Pop still in its box.

Typing something like "got Fifa 06 for £8 today" into Quick Add used to leave the price blank unless you typed a plain $. It now recognizes every currency symbol the site supports — £, €, kr, CHF, and the rest — in front of or after the number.

If you've turned on sharing just your gift list (without making your whole profile public), a few spots — the homepage's discovery rows, Find Collectors search, and an item's "Owned by" list — could show a gift-list item alongside your name in places that were only ever meant to show your public collection. Fixed so those items now only show up on your actual gift list page, where sharing it is the point.

VHS items could accidentally get marked "Digital," which doesn't make sense for a tape and was quietly breaking price checks and leaving them out of your collection's estimated value. VHS now works the same physical-only way consoles and Funko Pops already did.

The "Buy on Amazon" link on a public wishlist used to always point at the US Amazon site. It now uses your own currency's local Amazon store (amazon.co.uk, amazon.de, and so on) when one exists.

Clicking a greyed-out missing item to check its price used to always point at CeX, even for things CeX doesn't actually sell, like books. It now goes to CeX for games, consoles, and DVDs, and eBay for everything else.

Another new page lets you search a game studio or publisher and see their whole catalogue on file with IGDB — greyed out except what you already own, and a click on anything missing takes you straight to a price check.

Before anyone's made a public list yet, the Lists page now shows a few example cards instead of just an empty message — so you can see what it looks like before you make your own.

Those same icons on "nothing here yet" messages now sit inside a soft gold-tinted circle, a bit more polished than a bare icon on its own.

Following up on the new card look for empty states, each one now shows a fitting icon too — a trophy on an empty leaderboard, a lock on a private profile, a gift on an empty wishlist, and so on.

Empty states across the site — an empty search, an empty list, a private profile — now sit in a proper card instead of floating as bare text on the page. Cosmetic only, nothing about what they say changed.

My Collection, Feed, Discover, and Account in the top menu now highlight in gold when you're actually on that page, matching the same highlight the bottom bar and the collection page's sidebar already show.

A few more pages picked up icons — the Search button on the Search page, "Submit your own" on Reviews & Articles, and the "Back to Lists"/"Reviews & Articles" back links now show a small icon instead of a plain arrow.

The Cancel and Save Item buttons at the bottom of the add/edit item form now show a small icon too, matching the icon style the rest of the app picked up recently.

Profile pages now show icons too — Follow/Following, Share my shelf, Compare collections, Edit profile, and the "More"/"Manage" menu buttons all have a small icon now, matching the icon style the rest of the app picked up recently.

The collection page's own buttons now have icons too — Add Item, Refresh all prices, Settings, Tools, Select items, and the Import/Export buttons in Settings. Matches the icon style the rest of the app picked up recently.

The "⋯ more actions" button on item cards and the collection page now shows a cleaner icon instead of a text character. Cosmetic only — nothing about what these menus do changed.

The last two plain-text controls in the top menu — the Light/Dark toggle and the text-size dropdown — now show a small icon too, matching everything else up there.

The Alerts bell icon is back (with a small red count badge instead of the number in the text), and My Collection, Feed, Log in, and Sign up all show an icon now too — the top menu is fully icon'd again.

The top-of-page Menu button now has an icon next to it, and the Discover/Account dropdowns each show a small arrow so it's clearer they open a menu instead of taking you straight somewhere.

The collection page's mobile menu button and the small icon shown on a missing cover image (one per type — game, book, record, and so on) now use the same cleaner icon style as the phone menu bar and star ratings look a little crisper too.

The bar at the bottom of the screen on phones now shows an icon on each button again, and there's a raised "+" button in the middle for adding a new item straight from wherever you are. Alerts moved from this bar into the main Menu — still one tap away, just not down here anymore.

The menu at the top is now grouped into a Discover menu and an Account menu instead of one long row, and the add/edit item form is split into four clearly labeled sections you can jump between instead of one long scroll. The navbar and phone menu bar also drop their icons in favor of plain text labels.

The same cleanup Games and Books just got now covers more types: Vinyl/CD/DVD/VHS creator pages do a best-effort job of leaving out foreign-language editions, and Comics no longer shows the same issue number twice. Trading Cards and Funko Pops were checked too and didn't need any changes.

Games: a franchise/series grid no longer includes DLC, expansions, or bundles alongside the real games. Books: a full bibliography no longer shows the same book twice, and does a best-effort job of leaving out foreign-language editions (it's not perfect — a few may still slip through).

Checking an author's full series used to only show what other Shelf Life users had also logged — often nothing. It now pulls a real bibliography from Open Library, the same kind of upgrade Games, Comics, and Trading Cards already have.

Coming back from an eBay/CeX listing used to always drop you on the home screen, no matter where you actually were. It now takes you back to the exact page you were on.

Clicking a greyed-out item in a series used to check eBay first and only go to CeX if eBay had nothing. It now goes straight to CeX every time — fixed pricing instead of an auction, which is what most people actually want here.

Tapping a greyed-out item in a series opened a blank white screen inside the iPhone app instead of a listing. Fixed — it now takes you straight there.

The "Buy on eBay"/"Search Amazon" links on a shared gift list actually take you to eBay/Amazon now — they were bouncing back to the home page inside the iPhone app. Also redesigned the whole page to be a simple scannable list instead of a crowded card grid.

Buy on eBay/Search Amazon buttons on a shared gift list now show up on phones (they were being hidden there). Tapping a card in your own collection no longer shows an edit pencil on the card itself — open the card first, then Edit. Tapping a card on a profile page now opens that card, not straight into the full series.

A broken connection to eBay meant price checks (and "Refresh all prices" on your dashboard) had been silently failing for over a month. Both are fixed now — real current listings should show up again.

The iOS app is live — search "Shelf Life" on the App Store to install it on your iPhone, with a real home-screen icon and no browser bar.

Browser tab titles across the site no longer show "Shelf Life" twice, log in/sign up now have their own tab title, and a text-wrapping glitch on the homepage's demo cards is fixed.

A new "Browse by Creator" page (linked in the footer) lets you search any comic writer or artist and see their whole body of work in one grid — every issue on file for them, across every series, greyed out except what you already own.

A public profile now opens with a genuine "Recent activity" feed — what this collector's actually been adding, finishing, rating, and earning trophies for, mixed in with comments people have left them — instead of jumping straight from stats into the collection grid.

A new "Import from Discogs" button (Settings > Data, next to Import/Export CSV) pulls in someone's Vinyl and CD collection in bulk from Discogs, the same idea as the existing Import from Steam.

A public profile with any comments now shows a "Recent activity" preview above the collection — the last few comments, with a link to see them all — so a visitor gets a sense of the social side of the page before scrolling into the grid.

Upcoming Releases used to only show a game if it was a direct sequel/entry in a franchise you already owned something from. It now looks at the genres and platforms you collect instead, so it can surface real upcoming games you'd likely be interested in, not just ones tied to a specific franchise you already own.

Tapping a filter pill (Video Games, Trading Cards, Consoles, Funko Pops, etc.) on your collection screen was already filtering correctly, but the item grid sits below the fold, so it looked like nothing happened. Picking a filter now scrolls you straight to the filtered results.

The Upcoming Releases page was squeezed into a narrow column on desktop, same issue the Full release catalogue had before. It now uses the full width of your screen, and releases lay out side by side instead of one long single-file list.

Clicking an eBay, CeX, or Amazon link from anywhere in the app used to leave you with no way to get back to Shelf Life. Those links now pass through a quick landing page first, so there's always a clear "Back to Shelf Life" link waiting for you.

Found and fixed the real reason this page usually showed "Nothing upcoming yet" even for franchises you own plenty of — a mismatch behind the scenes meant your own titles almost never matched up with the series data we'd already fetched for them.

A handful of games weren't finding their series on the Upcoming Releases page because of small spelling differences (like "MegaMan X" vs. "Mega Man X"). Those cases now get picked up correctly.

Price-drop alerts, the weekly stats email, master-set refreshes, and the Upcoming Releases calendar were all quietly doing nothing in the background due to a missing setting on our hosting side. That's fixed — everything is now actually running again.

In the Full release catalogue and any "See master set" / "See full series" grid, a wishlisted (or sold) item was showing up highlighted as if you owned it. Now only items you actually own count.

Games you don't own yet in the Full release catalogue are now clickable — checks eBay for it, same as everywhere else in the app. The grid also uses the full width of your screen on desktop instead of a narrow column.

Cleaned up a bunch of slightly-mismatched text sizes across the site so headings, body text, and labels follow one consistent scale instead of a dozen near-identical one-off sizes.

The dropdown behind the "Manage ▾" / "More ▾" button on public profiles now actually opens — it was rendering invisibly right after the profile header redesign.

Picking a platform on the "Full release catalogue" page now actually shows games instead of "No results" every time.

The profile header background is calmer now, and the row of buttons at the top is back down to a couple of buttons plus one "Manage"/"More" menu instead of 6+ buttons at once.

Compare collections, Shelf mosaic, Gift list, Manage showcase, Manage lists, and Refresh prices are now their own buttons on a profile instead of hidden behind a "More actions" menu.

The bottom bar on phones now has a 5th icon — Alerts — so you can check your notifications in one tap instead of opening the menu first.

The faint cover-art mosaic behind your public profile header could look like a stretched, sliced-up strip of photos on a phone screen — that's fixed, it now lays out as a proper grid on any screen size.

On a phone, a persistent bar along the bottom now gets you to My Collection, Search, Feed, and My Profile in one tap — no more opening the menu first.

The "Xbox/PlayStation trophies & achievements" card that used to show on your public profile is gone.

Collection insights, Your Wrapped, Collection appraisal, Upcoming releases, Full release catalogue, Print labels, and API access all used to be one click deep inside a "More actions" menu — they now live in a real sidebar, visible on every dashboard page.

A new Upcoming Releases page shows what's still coming for the game franchises and comic series you already own something from, grouped by month, with a running spend total from prices you type in yourself.

A "Text" control next to the Dark/Light switch in the navbar now offers Normal, Large, and Larger — scales the whole page, not just body copy.

The page for any game, comic, or collectible now has a Reviews section — a star rating plus your own written thoughts, separate from your private personal rating, visible to anyone browsing that item.

Generate a token and pull your collection as JSON into a script, spreadsheet, or your own dashboard — no more exporting a CSV by hand.

A new "Print labels" page lays out a small QR sticker per item on standard address label sheets — scan one to jump straight to that item on your phone.

New badges for owning 20 items on one platform, 10 genres, or at least one of every collectible type, plus new ones for tagging, writing notes, attaching condition photos, marking items for sale, and marking items sold. Platinum Shelf now takes 8 more to earn, same as every past trophy addition.

A new panel (inside Tools > Insights) shows which public collectors you follow already own something on your wishlist — and flags when they own more than one, a hint they might have a spare worth asking about.

A new "Email me a weekly activity digest" checkbox in Settings > Data sends a Sunday email with your own week (what you added, completed, rated, or earned a trophy for) plus a rundown of what the public collectors you follow have been up to. Off by default, and it skips itself entirely on a quiet week with nothing to report.

The ranking itself was already fair across currencies — a €5,000 collection correctly outranking a $6,000 one, say — but there was no way to see why. The podium now shows a converted amount alongside a collector's own-currency total, in whatever currency you've picked in Settings, whenever it's different from theirs.

A new "Full release catalogue" page (find it in the sidebar under Utilities, or click "See full release list" on an active "Browse by system" tile) lets you pick a platform — PlayStation 2, Switch, whatever — and see every major game released for it, greyed out except what you've already logged. Handy for spotting real gaps in a system you're actively completing.

Editing one of these now shows a "See full series" button, same as games/comics/trading cards/Funko Pops already had — it groups everything by the same artist, director, or author that Shelf Life collectors have logged, so you can see the rest of a discography, filmography, or bibliography you might be missing.

The site's dark theme stays the same, but the accent colors are new — warm gold and mint instead of the old purple/teal — cards and pills got rounder corners, missing cover art now shows a clean category icon instead of a broken-image look, and the Trophy Case got a real "velvet panel and medallions" redesign with locked trophies showing a lock icon.

A new option in the dashboard's "+ Add Item" menu lets you just type something like "fifa 06 on ps2 CIB $8 today" — it picks out the title, price, date, platform, and completeness as you type, shows you what it understood, and hands it to the normal Add form so you can double-check before saving.

"See master set" used to only expand a card into Normal/Reverse Holo/Holo tiles once you already owned one of its variants. Sets you've logged cards from now build up a real, complete variant checklist behind the scenes, so you can see prints you don't have yet — not just confirm the ones you do.

"See master set" now works for Magic cards, not just Pokémon — a genuine per-set checklist (including foil and etched foil prints) instead of only showing what other Shelf Life collectors happen to have logged.

A new "Email me a monthly backup" checkbox in Settings > Data sends you the same collection CSV and full data export you can already download on demand, automatically, once a month. Off by default.

A dead cover-art link used to show the browser's generic broken-image icon in a few spots — search results, the item detail view, master-set grids, and public lists. Now it shows the same clean placeholder covers already use elsewhere.

If you navigate by keyboard, tabbing through the top-3 podium now goes left to right the way it looks, instead of jumping to the middle card first.

The small two-letter badge next to each row on your dashboard shelf (GM, CM, TC, and so on) is gone — each row already shows its name and accent color, so the badge wasn't adding anything.

Owned/Sold badges, the leaderboard's gold/silver/bronze podium, and success messages were much lighter than intended if you use light mode — now darker and easier to read. Dark mode was already fine and isn't affected.

A comics-only account now sees "your long box," not "your shelf" — same for backlog (games), binder (trading cards), crate (vinyl), and setup (consoles). A few trophies pick up a little flavor line too, once earned.

The colored icon next to each row on your shelf is now a small letter badge instead of an emoji — same color, same spot, just no emoji.

The colorful, per-type shelf your dashboard got recently now shows on your public profile's Collection tab too — so anyone visiting sees a shelf shaped like your collection, not a generic one.

Backlog health and trophy completion for games, raw vs. graded and top sets for trading cards, top series for comics and books, record labels for vinyl/CD, and more — each one only shows up if you actually collect that type.

Picking a type you'd turned off in Settings > Collecting used to be blocked outright. Now you can always add any type — doing so just checks it back on automatically.

A new shelf at the top of your dashboard shows real cover art from your collection, one row per type you collect, each in its own color. Comics, vinyl, cards — however many types you have, your shelf looks like yours.

The settings panel is now just "Settings" — most of what's in there was never really about your profile. A new Collecting tab lets you change which item types you collect any time.

Signing up now asks which of the 10 item types you actually collect — pick just Comics and Books, say, and everything else disappears from Add Item, Quick add, and the Filters panel. Existing accounts get asked once too, next time you visit.

Searching Consoles (Add Item or Quick add) now finds the right one even with a typo or two — "nintendo swithc" still finds Nintendo Switch.

Clicking outside the window (or pressing Escape) used to close it instantly with no warning, even mid-batch. It now asks first if anything's queued — clicking to save or add is untouched.

Click a search result released on more than one platform (Add Item or Quick add) and you'll get a quick "which platform is this copy for?" choice, instead of the item getting tagged with all of them.

No more scrolling to the bottom to see what you just added — the queue lists newest first.

Searching a game (in Add Item or Quick add) now shows up to a few platform names next to each result, so you can tell which one you're actually about to add.

Each item in your batch gets its own small controls before you commit — Ownership and Condition always, plus Completeness for games/consoles or Price for everything else. Search still fills in the rest.

The camera barcode scanner and "Scan multiple" are gone. Search auto-fill (already used by Add Item and Quick add) finds more titles more reliably than a UPC lookup ever did, including older and import releases.

Click "+ Add Item" and pick "Add one item" or "Quick add (search)" — no more digging through More actions to find the bulk-search option.

Search a title, pick the right result, repeat — then add the whole batch at once. Uses the same auto-fill search the Add form already has for each item type.
